Indigenous Access to Vancouver Parks

Vancouver boasts a significant amount of green space and community parks. The largest of these is the world-renowned Stanley Park. Parking fees in Vancouver parks remain a barrier to Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh people enacting their Indigenous rights to practice their culture, to hold ceremonies, and to harvest food and natural materials. OneCity is committed to working with the Vancouver Parks Board to open parks to Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh people by removing parking fees for their citizens.
