Iona 拥有 20 年的城市和交通规划师经验，致力于通过更好的步行、自行车和公共交通基础设施，将人们与他们需要去的地方联系起来，并通过深入社区、在居民所在地与他们会面来进行富有意义的互动。她还曾在温哥华市政府担任高级交通规划师，并在非营利董事会担任领导职务，包括“女性转型城市”（Women Transforming Cities）和“鳟鱼湖社区中心协会”（Trout Lake Community Centre Association）。
Iona 还具有环保背景，并拥有一家小企业，致力于帮助人们过上更环保、更健康的生活。
Iona 再次参选是为了确保全城各社区的普通市民拥有安全且负担得起的住房和交通选择，并确保市议会做出的决策能够关照到目前及未来居住在温哥华的人们。
