"I’m absolutely delighted that Dr. Steve Cardwell is running for the Vancouver School Board. Steve is truly one of B.C.’s most respected and visionary education leaders. His career spans every level of the system — teacher, high-school administrator, superintendent in both Vancouver and Delta, and post-secondary vice president, giving him an unparalleled understanding of how public education works and what it needs to thrive.

What sets Steve apart isn’t just his experience, but the deep values that guide his work. He believes wholeheartedly that a strong public education system is the cornerstone of a just society and a healthy democracy. That conviction, paired with decades of hands-on leadership, makes him an outstanding choice for school trustee.

I had the privilege of working closely with Steve at the Vancouver School Board, and I saw firsthand his thoughtful, collaborative leadership and unwavering commitment to equity and opportunity for every student. He also brings a profound understanding of the pressures facing front-line educators, and a clear commitment to ensuring they have the resources and support they need to help students succeed."
