Our Plans

Vancouver has suffered for years under incoherent, unambitious, and sometimes downright cruel municipal governments. Since 2022, we have borne the brunt of an ABC majority that seems to have no interest in providing the basic tenets of a good life like a secure, affordable place to live, safe and joyful spaces to spend your time, and a dignified way to make a living. The truth is, no recent local government in Vancouver has lived up to the responsibility it owes us. 

This October, we can change that. 

Vancouver can lead the country by creating vibrant communities for all our residents. We can make it easier, faster, and cheaper to start a small business. The School Board can open thousands of affordable childcare spots for working families. The Park Board can expand welcoming public spaces and bring nature back to neighbourhoods scarred by stumps and scorched by blacktop. This election, we can elect a OneCity slate of candidates who will do what others have been too scared to do: govern for the material benefit of the average Vancouverite.

Vancouver is the social, cultural, and economic engine of British Columbia. We are positioned to be the centre of prosperity in the West as Canada turns away from our neighbours to the south. Vancouverites will succeed in this rapidly changing world when we have local leaders who believe in the brilliance and ambition of their neighbours. And who honour your labour, family, and life in every policy we pass. 

OneCity’s unified, practical progressive team of candidates will work to deliver on our ambitious plan for Vancouver. They’ll do their homework. They won’t skip tough votes. They will hold the next Mayor accountable. And they’ll collaborate with allies to get real progress over the line. 

Our candidates know that Vancouver is full of good neighbours, and prosperity must be shared by all. OneCity will build a city where the buses arrive on time, where people of all ages get the support they need, and where human connection lights up safe public spaces from False Creek to the Fraser River. And we’ll make sure those same good neighbours can earn a fair wage and follow their dreams.
