We’re excited to participate in the 2025 Lapu Lapu Day this coming Saturday, and we need you to help make it an amazing day!
We’re looking for volunteers to chat with community members when they come by our booth, and let them know all about OneCity. This is a great opportunity to connect with people and share how we’re fighting for them on important issues like more affordable housing and tenant protections, the Living Wage, and increased transparency at City Hall and the School Board.
We have three shifts available throughout the day.
🗓️Date: Saturday, April 26
🕗Full Event Time: 8:30am-7:30pm
- Shift 1: 8:30am-12:30pm
- Shift 2: 12:30-4:30pm
- Shift 3: 4:30-7:30pm
📍Event Location: John Oliver Secondary (530 E. 41st Ave) and the back parking lots west of Fraser Street, between 41st and 49th Ave.
📍Our Booth Location: We’ll be between 44th and 45th Ave.
Lapu Lapu is BC’s largest Filipino block party hosted by Filipino BC and Sunset on Fraser Business Association. The event will be kicked off with a cultural parade at 9:30am. Afterwards, expect live performances (including from the Black Eyed Peas’ apl.de.ap), activities, film screenings, a basketball tournament, and much more happening all day!
