But for too many people, this city can be difficult to live in.
Rent is too high. Homelessness is up. Sidewalks are damaged and roads are dangerous. Community treasures like the Aquatic Centre are crumbling.
The cracks are showing in our shared home. If we had leadership that could bring us together, we could repair those cracks and build a healthy, equitable, and just city for everyone.
We don't have the leadership we need. Ken Sim barely shows up for work. But I'm ready to get to work for you.
You deserve to know where I stand. In the pages that follow, if I earn your trust and become your next city councillor, I have outlined my immediate priorities. But I have also outlined the principles that I, and the members of OneCity, believe will build a stronger Vancouver in the years to come.
A city where reconciliation, equity and climate action inform everything we do.
Where every neighbourhood does its share to end the housing crisis. Where we provide strong community services that lift everyone up. Where we all belong.
Vancouver must be more than just a place to live. It must be a place to thrive. For that, we need properly-funded community spaces and services.
