Park Board Update:
The election is heating up!
OneCity Vancouver has been in consultation with community groups, experts, and advocates to design policies that meet the needs of Vancouverites. With some of these being announced, and more on the way, we are highlighting the value(s) that our team brings to the table.
Pushing for a Cool, Clean Air and Safe Spaces Strategy, an elected OneCity Vancouver government will push for needed improvements to ensure that all residents can access our spaces as we continue to see more extreme weather.
And these policies are bringing people in. Members of the Park Board caucus had a fundraiser on Wednesday, in celebration of the 136 years that the Park Board has been in existence. We talked about priorities, what our City can do better, and how we can get there.
As we door knock, we will also be 'park knocking' - starting on August 22nd, we will be meeting with folks in parks and talking about the upcoming election! On August 22nd, we will be in Trout Lake Park, from 9:00am-1:00pm at the Trout Lake Farmers Market! So if you see someone with a OneCity Vancouver shirt and/or a button - that's probably us!
