OneCity Councillor Christine Boyle's election as MLA for Vancouver-Little Mountain marks a new chapter in her progressive advocacy for affordability, climate justice, and good governance.
VANCOUVER (Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Territories) - OneCity Vancouver proudly congratulates OneCity Councillor Christine Boyle on her successful provincial election campaign for the riding of Vancouver-Little Mountain. As a founding member of OneCity Vancouver, Christine will now take her advocacy to another level, where she can significantly influence the laws and policies that affect all of us in Vancouver.
Vancouver-Little Mountain encompasses one of the core neighbourhoods in our city that has been deeply hit by housing shortages, affordability woes, and struggles by healthcare workers to remain in the city. Christine and her team have spent months listening to neighbours and OneCity is confident that she will champion the same issues she fought for at City Hall, but now at the provincial level.
A by-election will soon be called to fill Christine’s vacated seat on Council, and OneCity looks forward to winning the seat. OneCity is committed to holding Ken Sim and ABC Vancouver accountable for failing to address critical issues facing Vancouver citizens and their families – affordability, community safety, good governance and climate change. The past year has shown that Vancouver is tiring of the continued irresponsibility of an ABC-led Council, and we are advancing with our plans to take them on in a by-election and in the general election in 2026.
OneCity leadership has already begun planning for the by-election. We believe we can bring progressives together across the city to champion the issues that matter to Vancouverites.
Congratulations to our wonderful friend Christine. We look forward to working with her on shared interests and advancing action on affordability, climate action, and housing – and playing a central role in leading progressive change in Vancouver.
