Ken Sim’s candidate continues Ken Sim’s record of contempt for the rules

VANCOUVER (Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Territories) - Ken Sim’s candidate Ralph Kaisers has used unauthorized personal information in his bid for City Council, according to reporting by the Globe and Mail

This brazen behaviour is in keeping with Ken Sim’s governance of Vancouver: from accepting $116,000 in prohibited donations in the 2022 election, to acting in a discriminatory manner against a former member of his own party due to her gender, to attacking the Integrity Commissioner while under investigation, to even putting up lawn signs for his candidates without residents' consent.

This latest move from Ralph Kaisers is in keeping with his history of inflammatory positions and disrespect for Vancouver residents:

  • Opposing gun control laws that are backed by the Vancouver Police Department
  • Undermining ABC’s own police body-worn cameras program
  • Posting graphics that read “fuck the Downtown Eastside grifters” on Twitter
  • Being caught up in the investigation into the tragic death of Myles Gray

OneCity Vancouver City Council candidate Lucy Maloney:

“Ralph Kaisers’ contempt for the rules is exceeded only by Ken Sim’s contempt for the rules. Sim has bent the rules and undermined colleagues and public officials whose job it is to keep him accountable, from attacking the Integrity Commissioner to kicking out members of his own party who won’t toe the line.

The Mayor might think that he is above the rules. But he isn’t above the voters. We need to rein in Ken Sim. On April 5th, I’m asking for your vote, so I can keep him in check, hold him to account, and fight him when he tries to do more damage to the city we love.”
