Trustee Reddy Introduces Motion to Improve Access to our Public Spaces

This year the use of a number of Vancouver school fields have been closed to the public - even after school hours. As we head into hot summer days, we need green spaces with shade and school lands offer these in every neighbourhood for impromptu games, exercise and recreation, and social gathering.

In response to community requests, I’m bringing a motion that the school board consult with school communities and neighbours about how they can share space and care for it together, as has been done for many years.
